How does the combination of a stylish rooftop bar, relaxed terrace restaurant and fantastic sea views sound? You’ll find all that on Deck 11, on the first genuine rooftop terrace on the Baltic Sea.
Viking Terrace is a summer oasis with generous opening hours, from early in the morning to the wee hours of the night. A luxurious breakfast, summery dishes from the grill and refreshing drinks are all served here. In the evening, DJs and troubadours perform. The large terrace area has seating for 202 people plus 54 comfortable sun lounges. Thanks to glazing and infrared heating, the summer begins early and continues well into the autumn.
Algoth’s is Viking Glory’s smugglers tavern, named after the colourful bootlegger Algoth Niska. Unlike other liquor smugglers during the first half of the 20th century, who were usually tied to the land, Algoth was a sea captain who owned a number of fast boats. He had also played on Finland’s national football team and considered himself something of a gentleman.
At Algoth’s, you’re served perfectly mixed cocktails in a relaxed at-home setting, where every cocktail has a story and the bartender will be more than happy to share his best tips with you. The bar can also be hired out at times during the day for private groups.
The kids want pizza, but you prefer classic home cooking. What do you do? Head to the Market on Deck 10, or course. In our vibrant maritime food court, the food stands are all lined up – just pick and choose, and then enjoy your meal together. Small appetizers or a hearty meal – you decide. Along with pizza and classic home cooking, ethnic dishes from all the corners of the world are served here with a Nordic twist. The food court even has its own bakery. If you’d like to take a tasty treat out on the deck or freshly brewed coffee and a freshly made sandwich to your car before going ashore, you can do that too.
